The YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 are equipped with under cowls that are based on the image of a diffuser, to give them the best form for aero-management. These are not cowls for simply enclosing the engine, but forms composed of blade surfaces that actively control airflow. This spirit has been directly inherited by the YZF-R15 V2.0. “Harmony between rider and machine.” YAMAHA's Human Technology involves studying the form of the motorcycle actually in motion with the rider on it. The R series is the embodiment of 1) a wide frontal space that protects the rider, 2) an easy to ride seating area that gives riders the freedom of movement and allows them to steer effectively, 3) the glamorous tail treatment that takes into account the management of airflow behind the rider, and 4) a sensual racing form that brings all 3 of these elements together in a harmonious package. These characteristics have been splendidly reproduced in the YZF-R15 V2.0. Additionally, the designs were developed in the same modeling room where YZF-R1 designers worked. Information was shared, ensuring that the R lineage would be transmitted. In addition, the model also incorporates a multitude of adjustments for the Indian market including seat shape that allows for tandem riding (integrated with the main seat), tandem grips that are easy to grip and also contribute to the supersport design, and a riding position that takes into account comfort, etc. In other words, the YZF-R15 V2.0 is characterized by a hybrid design that combines the world-class design of the “R” series with localized functions. The YZF-R15 was created to lead the supersport category in India. Yamaha YZF R15
Yamaha has launched 150cc YZF R15, which has a profusion of magnetic power with its advanced racing technology designed to give the best performance. The new Yamaha YZF-R15 is designed in such a way so as to give best performance and better mileage, apart from the look of the sport bike. There have been complaints about the tyres being small. But the bike has good grip on the road, especially during rains. So far so good save the small tyres, a matter which is more concerned with the bike buffs.
Engine
Yamaha YZF R15 is India's first liquid-cooled 150cc engine with an all-aluminum cylinder. The YZF R15 cylinder employs DiASil technology (Die-casting Aluminum Silicon), which effectively brings down the engine weight with the enhancement of cooling capacity. The radiator of Yamaha YZF R15 is a compact one to give greater stability while riding, be it in the city or uphill riding. The pick-up of the engine is excellent and it has six-speed transmissions.
The acceleration at low speed is also excellent. The bike delivers maximum power of 17 PS at 8500 rpm and a torque of 15Nm at 7500 rpm and reduces mechanical noise. It uses a forged piston and a 4-valve combustion chamber that adds to the performance. The fuel injection system is so designed to deliver optimal fuel efficiency and also complies with the emission standards.
Design And Comfort
YZF R 15 is one of the high end best looking bikes in India. YZF R-15 almost looks like international YZF R1super bike when seen from distance. The dual head lamps, the rear view mirrors, shape of the tank, seating position all add up to dynamism factor of the bike. This bike does not have a center stand. The handle bars are designed as they are in high-end sports bikes. It simply looks awesome and the riders do have the pride of possessing this performance bike.
Ride And Handling
One of the first noticeable things about YZF R 15 is great acceleration at lower speeds. The convincing reason for adopting thin tyres may be to reduce friction and provide good mileage. The bike has a fuel efficiency of 40 kmpl in cities and 50 kmpl on highways. The bike is completely safe to ride on. The rear disc brakes do make a difference. The bike comes with delta box kind of frame of chassis and mono suspension to give better stability. The tyres are tubeless and Yamaha YZF R15 can be ridden with less friction coupled with all kinds of safety standards.
Variants, Price And Color
The YZF-R15 is offered in 6 super-cool colors: Yamaha Blue, Sunset Red, Midnight Black, Impact Yellow, Graphite Blazing Red, and Yamaha White
